Job Description

The Head Public Sector Group will oversee and promote the Public Sector banking strategy. This strategy includes: 

cultivating and managing customers within assigned industries, 

providing a full range of financial services to these clients to ensure their substantial contribution to the liquidity and profitability of the bank,

 and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. 

The following are the responsibilities identified for this position:

• Oversee and drive strategic business development and relationship management within the Public Sector Group. This group includes the Federal Government, State Governments, Parastatals, and Multilateral Agencies.
• Cultivate revenue creation opportunities by ensuring clients are offered effective products and services that meet their business needs and ensure the provision of excellent relationship management.
• Consistently explore the business environment and business referrals to identify, develop, and close business/sales opportunities.
• Frequently interact with government officials in relation to the formulation and/or dissemination of related/sector policy issues affecting banks, banking systems, and the economy at large to enable FCMB to develop appropriate strategies that would enable the bank to acquire maximum market share.
• Create a platform for the coordination of public sector business in the Bank.
• Effectively lead and direct the Public Sector Team.
• Explore opportunities to create desired visibility for the bank in government circles.

FCMB Bank RECRUITMENT Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• A first degree.
• Training and Re-training on Strategic Leadership, Risk Management, Corporate Governance.
• A minimum of 15 years of managerial experience and exposure, which includes different aspects of sales function.

• Internal- Group Chief Executive, MD/CEO, Executive Directors, Legal, Compliance, Corporate Banking, Treasury, and Transaction Banking Group- FCMB Capital Markets, FCMB Asset Management.
